Great lesson video, with organization. I appreciated it. Very helpful. Nonetheless, I was still left with my question not answered. I need to sharpen things like an axe (or lawn mower blade). I heard to use a mill bastard file. This video mentions 'bastard' file, as an American cut, that is the roughest. If you had given even a couple more sentences to explain this in greater depth, & images to show what you mean, it would have answered all my questions. I feel I have slightly more knowledge to answer my Q after this video, but still do not really know what is a 'bastard mill' file & still need to move to other sources to get an answer which I am finding surprisingly difficult to get a simple answer to. So close, & yet so far. Thanks.

I have a pipe that isnt straight and has a lot of 90 degree bends do you have advice for this? On the instructions in the box it usually says not to bend them but idk how i'm supposed to get around the 90 degree bends if i cant bend it.

What puzzles me is why there are no files with teeth that cut on the pull stroke. There are many situations where it gives better control. You can always hold the file by the tip, but the handle/tang gets in the way and throws off the balance. I could understand if they were merely less common, but I've never found any trace of them existing at all.

I’m looking for a mask I can you both while working with wood and paint spraying. I was soooo confused by all the numbers and letters and names I put off buying a mask and just used N95s knowing it would only help with wood work but not spray painting. For cutting taps & dies buy OSG, for forming taps buy BALAX. Forming exterior threads is not done with a round die as when cutting, but with forming dies

And then is the BSP (British Standard) which is very close to a NPT type quick connects. The threaded tapers are a bit different so they are not met to be interchanged. Then there is the BSPP (British Standard Parallel Pipe) pipe thread standard which is basically a straight thread. I ran into this when I bought a HVLP Paint spraying gun trying to adapt to my current air tool NPT system of disconnects. I'm 66 yrs old and been in the mechanical field all my life and hadn't dealt with the British systems much. The consumer grade HVLP paint guns are made in China which mostly use the BSP and/or BSPP type standard or a slight variation of it so I had to go through a learning curve to make sense of those type connectors.

Found this video searching for information for black iron pipe for natural gas installation in a residential home. I was always confused as Home Depot here in the States sells both Black "Iron" and Black "Steel" fittings and I never knew if you could mix the 2. Never realized Black "Iron" is not really iron and is really steel. Glad I found this video - even 4 years after it was uploaded! Thanks for the information!

I'm considering an application that requires less than 1 CFM (about 0.84), at 80 PSI. It has to run 24/7. Are there any rotary screw compressors that offer such a low flow rate, or would it be better to use a high-pressure, reciprocating compressor, with a suitable tank, and lower duty cycle? One of those big, size 300, gas cylinders can handle 2400 PSIG, and have a volume of 49.8 liters. With that much compressed air, the cylinder could provide air for over an hour before needing to be refilled. Would it make more sense to use a high pressure compressor, with a tank like that, and have a lower duty cycle, or are rotary screw compressors still the way to go? Also, how good are the oil filters for these rotary screw compressors? I'm working with air bushings.

My compressor regulator only has the gage move when air is flowing threw it ? There are regulators that allow you to to reduce the psi without any pressure moving . Whats f to h ex difference?
